INTERCULTURAL MINISTRY INSTITUTE

InterCultural Ministry InstituteIMI - Mentoring a New Generation of Global Christian Leaders

How Do We Prepare…
How do the major generational and cultural changes around the world affect the Church in fulfilling the Great Commission?

What will be the role of the cross cultural minister in the years ahead?

To equip the next generation of intercultural ministers, a new approach to missions training is required.

          …A New Generation…
The purpose of the InterCultural Ministry Institute (IMI) is to prepare a generation of leaders to meet the unique challenges of fulfilling the Great Commission in the decades ahead.

Through a team of missions practitioners, participants will be exposed to the latest in missiological research and academic study within a mentoring relationship.

                         …to Meet New Needs
IMI is designed as a mentorship in missions. Each participant will have a mentor from their chosen agency or church. This will enable them to seamlessly continue in ministry upon completion of the IMI program.

Each professor and mentor has lived overseas providing varied intercultural experiences. This will bring a practicality to the theory and strategies discussed.

There will also be a local practicum and a foreign practicum where the student will live for several months overseas.

The intercultural studies will also have an academic component leading to a AA in InterCultural Studies or a two year major in InterCultural Studies in a BA Program.

The Network
ICM Canada is partnering together with a Canadian Bible School in British Columbia to equip the next generation of Great Commission Christians. As a pioneer in in-service training and the development of mentoring and coaching materials, ICM coordinates the program and facilitates the network of participants and mobilizers.

The InterCultural Ministry Institute is an interdenominational program designed to serve mission agencies, local churches, and denominations in mentoring the next generation of emerging intercultural leaders.
