CLI Expansion in Dominican Rep.
Working together with Carlos, Raydel provides leadership for the Ministry Coaching Network (MCNet) in the Latin America/ Caribbean region. In previous newsletters we have highlighted his efforts in expanding the leadership training to other countries in the region, such as Puerto Rica and Guatemala. ICM’s ministry first connected with Raydel, several years ago, when he lived in Cuba. He was a church leader in Cuba and participated in Phil’s leadership workshops there.
While “tentmaking” as a medical surgeon in the Dom. Rep., he also travels across DR teaching seminars, investing in various networks of leaders. A recent development is the introduction of the Christian Leadership Institute (CLI) materials and program in Santiago, DR. Nearly forty have enrolled at this site, though the meetings are attending by double that amount. He writes, “My prayer is that once the course is complete, we can select a good group of leaders for the full CLI program in the region.”![]()
In the capital city of Santo Domingo, he also continues to invest in his core team of five connectors every Friday. Each of them is responsible to train other leaders throughout the country. They are currently in the First Module (of Eight Modules) and will be going through all 40 Competencies in the CLI program. He continues to mentor these young leaders as they complete one competency per month. While the learning is based on a mentoring relationship, they also earn either a Certificate in Christian Leadership or a Certificate in Christian Ministry. Thank you for your prayers for Carlos, Raydel and their team as they continue to invest in leadership throughout the region.
