Next Generation in CUBA

1 12 ICM CanadaEsperanza is on Carlos’s team in Dominican Republic and a ministry coach in our network. She has been mentoring young leaders in DR for years and most recently has travelled to Cuba in order to provide training there for young leaders. Over the years she has been equipped as we have provided training for Carlos’ team.

Our goal as a ministry continues to be to equip and then release others to train as Paul admonished Timothy in 2 Tim. 2:2. The following is a report of Esperanza’s last ministry trip there. Thank you for your support which helps us equip and coach leaders like Esperanza, as we continue to provide materials for them to use in their own language.2 12 ICM Canada

Good afternoon!

I want to share with you what happened on my last trip to Cuba. Under Carlos’ direction, I went to teach a workshop with a team in Havana, based on Jeske’s materials, Mentoring thru Intentional Relationships. This team serves and cares for children and adolescents in orphanages and prisons throughout Cuba.

We started with the introduction of mentoring which included helping them understand their personality style. This was a great blessing for the team since for the first time they were exposed to material like this. The workshop was taught by me and Ena Mesa, a young Cuban woman who is part of the team and someone I have been mentoring using this same Guide. She will continue to facilitate this training in Cuba when I go back to Dominican Rep.

6 12 ICM CanadaI will be travelling several times to Cuba this year to continue with the various other topics in the Guide, such as helping them indentify and understand their gifts and their calling. I count on your prayers that God allows us to continue blessing the young leaders in Cuba and in turn they can continue serving the local church and their nation. Thank you to my friends and family who made this meeting possible through their donations.
