In October I (Phil) launched my podcast channel, LEADERSHIPmatters. The first series is based on my foundational teaching on mentoring and biblical leadership. In this series I discuss the need for mentoring, and the importance of a servant leadership model, rather than a top down power based leadership model. Over the last decades of teaching on this topic, I have observed that often leadership in the church does not look much different than the models we see in the culture around us. The focus is to see life transformation in leaders as they recognize the need to change how they do leadership. In Jesus’ upside down Kingdom, he modeled a completely different approach to leadership, which has been a struggle for leaders ever since.

There are fifteen episodes in the Mentoring Intelligence series and the next series will be based on my teaching on, Finishing the Race. In this series I discusses how to have meaning and purpose in our lives as we go through the various seasons of life. Podcasts seem to now be the medium through which people receive information and teaching (fewer people seem to read these days). The goal of the podcasts is to make the various teachings available in this format to reach a wider and varied audience. Free sample materials are provided along with each episode, as well as opportunity for listeners to purchase our various teaching books and manuals.
