Training Indian Leaders in Africa

In the fall of last year Phil joined Rafik in Tanzania again and had the opportunity to share with some of the leaders of the Indian churches which Rafik helped to start when he lived in Tanzania.

While there has been an Indian population in Tanzania for centuries, they remain a minority within the country. The majority of them (several hundred thousand) live in the capital city of Dar es Salaam. In the nineties through Rafik’s ministry several hundred became followers of Jesus, coming from both Muslim and Hindu backgrounds. It was a privilege to visit with these believers and encourage the leaders who are serving among this ethnic population that historically has been resistant to the Gospel.

This year we are planning on being in Tanzania twice  in order to train, equip and encourage these leaders who are facing many obstacles while they serve in this challenging field . Thank you for your prayers and support as our ministry continues to serve them.
