A Philosophy of Leadership is the integration of a leader’s understanding and practice of godly character, core values, personality, gifts and overall calling and role within a biblical model of servanthood, which leads to a clear understanding as to how and why one should serve the Body of Christ and what ultimately defines success in ministry. A leader’s philosophy of leadership based upon a biblical model of servanthood will influence every decision the leader makes and how congruent their activities are with their values and identity.
Description
CLI – Christian Leadership Institute: Module 1.0 Personal Life
This module of leadership competency explores the private life and personal management skills that are necessary for a Christian leader to serve well for the duration of their life. It identifies the areas of life that require a high level of self-awareness so that the developing leader recognizes the path to healthy success as well as identifying possible pitfalls that can undermine their effectiveness or sideline them from service. This module also seeks to analyze spiritual gifts, personality traits, values and assumptions that shape the way a person leads, taking into consideration strengths and weaknesses, for the purpose of having a greater understanding of their leadership tendencies, philosophy and capacity.
