Description
CLI – Christian Leadership Institute: Module 4.0 Theological Foundations
This module is the last in the Christian Leadership Certificate and covers three Technical Competencies in the area of the candidate’s theological understanding. Historical Theology takes a rather unique approach by looking at the history of Christianity and its Mission through the lens of theology. This is intended to help the candidate trace the development of theology over the last two thousand years so as to be able to recognize contemporary errors and not repeat them. This is followed by an overview of basic theological concepts and then a final practical competency to assist the candidate apply theology within their own lives as well as ministry.

The Authors
Doug Friesen is a pastor, teacher, church planter, mentor, ministry coach, and director of CLIMB, an organization that facilitates innovative ministries in Canada. Phil Jeske (PhD) is a missionary teacher, author, ministry coach and president of ICM, an international mission organization. They are both specialists in their field of leadership development and travel internationally coaching teams within the Ministry Coaching Network (MCNet). They have a passion to mentor the next generation of servant leaders and help ministry teams start innovative ministries that will impact their nations. Both they and their wives live near Vancouver, Canada with their grown children and grandchildren.
