The Process

The MCNet Coaching Process

The MCNet material is a multi-year training model for leaders and those they serve, with the purpose of producing healthy leaders and ministries as well as initiating a new generation of Christian ministries to meet the current global needs.

The MCNet Coaching Process usually begins with an introduction to mentoring, as we believe that this is fundamental to developing healthy servant leaders and effective teams. Healthy churches are reproducing churches, but without healthy leaders and teams it is impossible to achieve this goal. Developing Others 1 is the workshop that introduces mentoring and is best accompanied with Mentoring thru Intentional Relationships – Guide 1, which is a tool to help someone guide a mentoring relationship. This is then followed by the rest of the workshops and tools as described below.

These workshops and resources can be applied to both an existing organizational/church context, or to begin a new ministry. Bringing about change within an existing ministry or organization is in many ways more difficult that starting one, as vision often has to be recast, values assessed, and priorities altered. However, the goal of the process with existing church is to identify leaders who have the potential to plant a new ministry and release them to do so. The MCnet Process is outlined below:

A. Transforming Existing Churches/Organizations

There are Five Sections, each with corresponding Workshops and Resources. If conducted by our International team, typically two sections are covered in a year. If facilitated by local coaches, this may be compressed into a shorter period of time.

B. Initiating New Ministries and Churches

From the above Coaching Process, healthy churches should have the fruit of producing new leaders who are willing to expand the ministry. The following process uses the same materials, but it now applied to leaders and teams who are beginning new churches and new ministries.

These materials may also be used as a Church Planting or Ministry Initiative Process. This includes Six Phases that includes Coaching Sessions, Corresponding Workshops, and Resources for participants to apply.

C. The CAP – Coaches Action Plan

The following chart  outlines the process for the MCNet Coach and the corresponding materials and resources that can be employed at every step in the process.
